Niutech Signs Deal to Supply Waste-Plastic Pyrolysis Line for Refinery SAF Production
The contract will test whether pyrolysis oil from mixed low-value plastics can be processed at scale into hydrotreated sustainable aviation fuel in an operating refinery.

- Niutech announced a sales agreement over the weekend to deliver a continuous waste-plastic pyrolysis unit with a single-unit capacity of 10,000–50,000 tonnes per year and to upgrade an unnamed large refinery so it can make hydrotreated SAF from the pyrolysis oil.
- The company says its continuous system can accept mixed, low-value plastics such as PP, PE, PS, ABS and nylon without complex washing, sorting, drying or fine shredding, which could lower feedstock preparation costs for commercial use.
- The next material steps are detailed engineering, installation, integration with the refinery's hydrotreatment units, and an operational testing period to prove reliable, continuous and economically viable operation at refinery scale.
