Nitro to Air Three Free Preseason Games as RTL, Sky and DAZN Outline Germany’s NFL 2026/27 Coverage

Broadcasters have drawn clear free-to-air windows, subscription packages and a route to watch the full preseason via NFL Game Pass on DAZN.

Overview

  • Broadcasters published their plans this weekend, with RTL confirming in a press release that Nitro will show three preseason games on 24, 28 and 29 August 2026 and naming Jana Wosnitza, Florian Ambrosius, Jan Stecker and Kasim Edebali as the on-air team.
  • RTL remains Germany’s main free-TV home for the NFL, carrying regular Sunday slots, weekly night games and live coverage of the Munich international game between the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions on 15 November 2026.
  • Sky Sport and the streaming service RTL+ will offer additional live games behind paywalls, including the Sky-produced German-language NFL conference broadcasts in the early weeks.
  • DAZN says the full preseason is available through the NFL Game Pass after registration, giving fans a way to watch every exhibition game that Nitro and pay channels do not carry.
  • The confirmed calendar from the NFL anchors the season — a Super Bowl rematch opens the regular season on the night of 9–10 September 2026 and the Super Bowl is scheduled for 14 February 2027 — and viewers should expect many U.S.-originated kickoffs to air late at night in Germany.
