Nitin Nabin Begins Three-Day BJP Organisational Visit to Dehradun

The trip is meant to shore up the party’s state machinery and boost grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 Uttarakhand assembly elections.

Overview

  • Nitin Nabin arrived in Dehradun on Thursday and is scheduled to travel from Jolly Grant Airport to the BJP state office before chairing a core committee meeting and meeting state ministers that evening.
  • State leaders have planned a large welcome with more than 25 designated points along the airport-to-headquarters route to signal mass support and visibility for the national president’s first visit to Uttarakhand since his elevation.
  • Friday’s programme centers on organisational diagnosis with a meeting with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami followed by tributes at the home of the late B.C. Khanduri and a sequence of meetings with MPs, MLAs and state office-bearers.
  • The visit places strong emphasis on grassroots mobilisation with Sunday engagements that include prayers at Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, booth-level breakfasts and committee meetings, an address at Shivalik College and a youth 'Yuva Samvad' before an evening flight back to Delhi.
  • Party organisers will also review media, social media and IT-cell plans during the visit as part of a push to strengthen booth-level organisation and tighten coordination between government functionaries and party workers ahead of the 2027 polls.
