Overview
- Nissan confirmed on May 22, 2026 that the first international Nismo Performance Centre will open at its Ferntree Gully dealership in Melbourne in the second half of 2026.
- The Melbourne site will provide a direct link to Nismo’s Omori Factory in Japan to support full restorations, remanufactured heritage parts and official Nismo technical expertise.
- The centre will be staffed by factory‑certified 'Nismo Meisters' and will initially focus on restoration, restomod and parts supply for R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT‑R models.
- Nissan plans a phased roll‑out to other Australian capitals and Auckland and is exploring local production of Nismo components, including possible use of the Dandenong NCAP casting plant.
- The move responds to a large local fleet of imported Skylines and fits Nissan’s Re:Nissan strategy to expand Nismo’s global reach and deepen loyalty among heritage owners.
