Overview
- Nissan has made the Leaf Nismo available to order in Japan as the model line’s flagship trim with pricing from ¥6,601,100 to ¥7,227,000 for a fully optioned B7 with Recaros.
- The Leaf Nismo keeps the standard Leaf powertrains with a B5 using a 53 kWh battery and 174 hp motor and a B7 using a 75 kWh battery and 214 hp motor, so peak output is unchanged.
- Nismo fitted concrete chassis upgrades that include revised springs, anti-roll bars, swing-valve dampers and reinforced subframe bushes plus recalibrated steering to improve handling.
- The car rides on 19-inch Enkei wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires and adds a bold bodykit, red trim and Nismo-branded cabin touches with optional power-adjustable Recaro buckets.
- Nissan has not confirmed export plans for Europe or North America, a gap that leaves open whether buyers outside Japan will get the Nismo handling kit or will see similar performance-badged Leafs in future markets.
