NIS Reveals Prinny Party: Going Overboard for Switch 2 and Switch

The board-style party game pairs cooperative boss fights with cutthroat player-versus-player moves and will release in Japan on November 12, 2026.

Overview

  • NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software published an announcement trailer and confirmed the game for Nintendo Switch 2 and the existing Nintendo Switch.
  • The publishers set a Japan release date of November 12, 2026, and said western release timing will be announced later.
  • Players move around a game board to earn experience, buy equipment, turn in quests, and team up to defeat boss enemies known as the Supreme Overboard and his Protago-Knights.
  • Gameplay mixes cooperation and competition: players can pick up and throw characters and enemies, build and upgrade shared facilities by landing on build spaces, and pass bills at an in-game Assembly to trigger effects.
  • Prinny Party is a multiplayer spin-off of Nippon Ichi’s Prinny/Disgaea properties, continuing NIS’s recent focus on party-style titles and staggered regional rollouts that delay western dates.
