- On controller, open the gesture menu with R1/RB plus Options/Menu, and on PC press G, then select an emote with the confirm button or a left-click.
- Emotes are color-coded red, yellow, and blue, and choosing the correct color makes a Nurikabe vanish, with only two guesses before it turns hostile.
- Mujina spring from chests, copy your appearance, and perform an emote that you must mirror to avoid a fight and claim the loot.
- The gesture wheel does not pause the game, so players are advised to emote from safe spots to avoid taking damage while choosing.
- Some guides point to nearby bloody graves as hints for Nurikabe color and note that hostility can be reset by resting at a shrine, and more gestures unlock as you progress.
