Overview
- Nintendo aired a roughly 20-minute Direct on Tuesday that offered the most detailed look yet at Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and confirmed its Nintendo Switch 2 launch date of September 17, 2026.
- The presentation explained core combat systems including three class tiers (Beginner, Specialty, Advanced), Blaze Arts that consume HP, Combat Arts that wear weapon durability, and a battlefield rewind feature called Fortuna’s Blessing.
- Players can choose among four lead characters—Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda—and switch between their stories at will with separate saved progress for each so multiple routes can be played in parallel.
- Pre-orders are now live and Nintendo listed a Dagdan Collection collector edition with physical extras; multiple outlets reported a roughly $80 retail price for the physical standard edition.
- Between matches the game expands the series’ hub-and-bond systems by letting players train in an arena, recruit allies, take certification exams to change classes, explore dungeons with non-grid turn-based clashes, and gather resources on a world map.
