Overview
- Hello, Yoshi!, which launched Thursday, is a free download on the Nintendo Switch eShop as well as on iOS and Android.
- The app centers on simple touchscreen play where kids pull, stretch, spin, and poke Yoshi’s face and then pop on-screen bubbles with familiar Mario items and enemies.
- A built-in break kicks in after a short session as Yoshi falls asleep, and parents can turn this off in the settings at startup.
- After download, the app runs offline, which makes it easy to use during travel or without a data connection.
- The release expands Nintendo’s My Mario line for toddlers and preschoolers and lines up with a fuller Yoshi game, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, planned for Switch 2 in May.
