- Nintendo, which announced the changes Friday, will raise Switch 2 and current Switch model prices in Japan starting May 25.
- In Japan the Switch 2 moves from ¥49,980 to ¥59,980, the OLED model from ¥37,980 to ¥47,980, the standard Switch from ¥32,978 to ¥43,980, and the Switch Lite from ¥21,978 to ¥29,980.
- Nintendo Switch Online fees in Japan will rise on July 1, with the 12‑month individual plan increasing from ¥2,400 to ¥3,000 and the 12‑month family plan from ¥4,500 to ¥5,800.
- Switch 2 prices will also rise outside Japan on September 1, including the U.S. from $449.99 to $499.99, Canada from CAD 629.99 to CAD 679.99, and Europe from €469.99 to €499.99.
- Nintendo said the adjustments respond to higher semiconductor and memory costs and it aims to better align service pricing across regions, following a record year of sales and profit and a more cautious outlook for the year ahead.
