Overview
- Central Railway will run a special traffic and power block at Pune yard from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday that will suspend normal operations for the Pune‑Daund section to allow point replacement, signalling, telecommunications and overhead‑equipment work.
- Rail authorities have cancelled nine services for June 14 including the Pune–Nagpur and Nagpur–Pune expresses and the CSMT–Pune Deccan Express and have rescheduled the Pune–Rani Kamlapati Express to depart at 7:55 pm instead of 3:15 pm.
- Platforms 3 and 4 at Pune will be closed during the block and several trains will be short‑terminated or short‑originated at Shivajinagar, Khadki, Hadapsar and Satara, forcing passengers to use alternate stations for boarding or alighting.
- Other planned weekend blocks remain in place, including a Diva night block for girder/FOB work, a Western Railway jumbo block on the Harbour Line between Bandra and Goregaon on Sunday and an extended CSMT platforms 16–17 closure through July 8 that keeps some long‑distance trains terminating at Dadar or Thane.
- Railway officials urged passengers to check real‑time running status on NTES and official enquiry portals before travel because the overlapping maintenance windows will shift load onto nearby stations and could cause knock‑on delays for both local commuters and long‑distance travellers.
