Overview
- An evaluation by the Quality Council of India assessed offices on seven parameters, including websites, Aaple Sarkar integration, e-office use, dashboards, WhatsApp chatbots, and adoption of AI, blockchain and GIS.
- The awardees are the Jalgaon collectorate, Thane Rural Superintendent of Police, Panvel Municipal Corporation, Nashik Police Commissionerate, Nagpur Divisional Commissionerate, Nanded Inspector General of Police, Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra Maritime Board, and the Public Works Department.
- The public works, forest, and water supply and sanitation departments ranked as the top three departments under the programme, according to results released on Monday.
- Among police commissionerates, Nashik, Thane and Nagpur led the rankings, while Thane, Nagpur and Akola topped among rural superintendent offices, and Panvel, Pune and Ulhasnagar were the leading municipal corporations.
- The Chief Minister’s Office said top-performing Zilla Parishads will be named on February 8 with felicitation to follow, positioning the awards within a longer reform push that built on a prior 100-day phase.
