Nike Unveils Cryoshot X2 Line With Seven Global Fashion Collaborations

The collection converts archival soccer boots into transparent, street-ready sneakers timed to the 2026 World Cup to make memorabilia wearable.

Overview

  • Nike confirmed seven collaborators for the Cryoshot X2 series — Nocta, Palace, Jacquemus, Patta, Slawn, Peaceminusone, and Virgil Abloh Archives — each tied to a national federation.
  • The first-wave release schedule begins June 11 through collaborator and federation channels, moves to Dover Street Market on June 13, and reaches Nike SNKRS and select retailers on June 16.
  • Technically the shoes use injection-molded clear TPU housings that encase original stud patterns, drop-in midsoles with Zoom Air units at the heel, and lugged outsoles so the boots can be worn off the pitch.
  • Collaborators applied country- and artist-specific styling, for example V.A.A.’s tribute to Mia Hamm on the Zoom M9, Peaceminusone’s vintage CTR 360 treatment, and Nocta’s bold yellow Tiempo ’94 for Canada.
  • The project builds on a year of Nike R&D and taps World Cup visibility and limited-channel drops to position the Cryoshot models as collectible lifestyle pieces that could drive high demand among fans and resellers.
