- The BBC confirmed on June 19, 2026 that Nightsleeper will return for a second season on BBC One and iPlayer.
- Creator Nick Leather has said the new story will play out on a Belfast–Liverpool passenger ferry and teased six hours of “non-stop thrills and spills.”
