Overview
- NFR reports 624 interlocked level crossing gates across the zone, with eight installed in FY 2025–26.
- Sliding booms now total 582, following additions at 10 gates in the Katihar, Rangiya and Tinsukia divisions.
- Electric Lifting Barriers have reached 500 commissioned installations, including a newly commissioned unit in Rangiya.
- Fourteen mechanical barriers were replaced with Electric Lifting Barriers during the current financial year.
- System Integrity Testing has been completed at 220 gates, with signalling cable meggering performed at 32 to detect faults.
