NFL Reveals 2026 Preseason Schedule and How to Watch

The plan assigns national TV windows to major networks and confirms multiple streaming and local broadcast options for fans.

Overview

  • The 2026 preseason opens with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, which airs Thursday, Aug. 6 and matches the Carolina Panthers against the Arizona Cardinals on NBC and Peacock.
  • The rest of the preseason runs across three weeks from Aug. 13–29 with games grouped into Week 1 (Aug. 13–15), Week 2 (Aug. 20–23) and Week 3 (Aug. 27–29).
  • National broadcast windows are split among NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN and Prime Video while NFL Network will simulcast a large slate and most remaining games will air on each team’s local affiliate.
  • Multiple domestic streaming outlets — including fubo, the ESPN app, Prime Video, Paramount+ and Peacock — will carry preseason games and international viewers can access full coverage via NFL Game Pass through DAZN.
  • The Panthers and Cardinals play four preseason games because of the Hall of Fame Game, teams have published local broadcast and simulcast plans, and preseason minutes will be watched mainly for roster evaluation and injury returns.
