Overview
- Following Monday’s media preview, Church leaders released photos and confirmed the May 18 public opening, with a guided 30-minute “Inside a Temple” experience that requires a timed reservation.
- The center will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., admission is free, and bookings for the tour are available at TempleSquare.org or through the Temple Square app.
- Visitors will see full-scale replicas of a baptistry, instruction room, sealing room, and celestial room, along with an interactive scale model of the Salt Lake Temple and new Christ-focused art, including a Christus replica and Christian Bolt’s “Come Unto Me.”
- Reservations for public tours of the renovated Salt Lake Temple open on Sept. 1, 2026, and the six-month Salt Lake Temple Celebration runs daily from April 5 to Oct. 1, 2027.
- Temple Square is planning for large crowds with a relaunched website and app, proposed shuttles and temporary street changes in Salt Lake City, and volunteer sign-ups that begin in June.
