Overview
- The courtyard added a replica of Burbank’s Pluto’s Corner street sign on Monday, reinforcing the studio-lot theme with “Dopey Drive” and “Mickey Ave” directions.
- The Little Mermaid venue now carries “Studio Theater” branding, while a Hyperion-era rooftop mural and a “Walt Disney Studios” entrance sign have been installed.
- New movie billboards are going up across the area, including Lady and the Tramp and Tangled, with Dumbo and Zootopia 2 added to the Disney Jr. building after older posters came down.
- Crews have shifted construction walls, finished paving, set planters and turf, and begun lighting tests on the Sorcerer Hat, which has reopened more walkways ahead of the debut.
- The courtyard and Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live open May 26, while The Magic of Disney Animation returns later in summer with Olaf-led drawing lessons, meet-and-greets, and an Alice-inspired playground.
