New Orleans Man Who Claimed Roblox Role Faces 238 Charges in Child Sex Abuse Case

A probation check that uncovered a child-size sex doll led to a forensic review of devices that prosecutors say produced the new counts.

Overview

  • Jamie Borne, who investigators say identified himself as a Roblox game creator, made his first appearance Thursday after being rebooked March 31 on 195 child sexual abuse material counts and two counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
  • His total charges now stand at 238, including an earlier 40 counts involving juveniles under 13 and one count tied to a child-size sex doll, with bond set at $345,500.
  • The case began in late February when probation and parole officers conducting a home check reported a child-size sex doll in plain view and called Homeland Security Investigations and Louisiana State Police.
  • An arrest warrant says forensic reviews of seized hard drives, laptops, and phones found about 195 files depicting prepubescent children, including two files that allegedly showed juveniles with animals.
  • Roblox said Borne was never an employee, removed his user-created experiences, and banned his accounts, as state lawsuits since 2025 challenge the platform’s child-safety practices.
