New Odoxa Poll Puts Édouard Philippe Ahead of Jordan Bardella in 2027 Runoff

Philippe’s Le Havre win appears to be drawing center-right voters to him.

Overview

  • An Odoxa-Mascaret poll reports Édouard Philippe would defeat Jordan Bardella 52% to 48% in a head-to-head second round.
  • The same survey shows Bardella and his Rassemblement National leading first-round intentions at about 34%, with Philippe near 21%.
  • Odoxa tested different first-round lineups and found a united right and center puts Philippe at 25% and RN at 38%, while a separate Bruno Retailleau run leaves Philippe at 21%, RN at 34%, and Retailleau at 8%.
  • An Elabe poll for BFMTV and La Tribune Dimanche also shows Philippe ahead of Bardella in a runoff by roughly 51.5% to 48.5%.
  • The Odoxa survey was conducted online with 1,299 people, including 1,206 registered voters, with a 1.5 to 3.5 point margin of error and is a snapshot rather than a forecast.
