New Hampshire Releases Uncirculated Photo in 1997 Rosalie Miller Homicide Appeal

Investigators aim to jog memories of potential witnesses from winter 1996.

Overview

  • Attorney General John M. Formella and State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall announced the release of a never-before-circulated photograph of Rosalie Miller to solicit new tips.
  • Senior Assistant Attorney General R. Christopher Knowles said the image could prompt someone to share a detail that helps solve the case.
  • Miller, 36, was last seen on Dec. 8, 1996 at her Manchester apartment with plans to meet friends in the Auburn area.
  • Her body was found on Jan. 20, 1997 along the Londonderry Turnpike in Auburn, and an autopsy determined she was killed by ligature strangulation.
  • The Cold Case Unit asks anyone who had contact with Miller in December 1996 or saw her near the Londonderry Turnpike to email coldcaseunit@dos.nh.gov or call 603-271-2663.
