Neurosis Surprise-Releases First Album in a Decade, Adds Aaron Turner

The band will return to the stage in July at Montana’s Fire In The Mountains festival, a Blackfeet Nation event tied to Indigenous suicide-prevention.

Overview

  • An Undying Love for a Burning World is out today via Neurot Recordings with full streaming available and physical preorders open.
  • Aaron Turner of Isis and Sumac joins on vocals and guitar as a full contributing member on the new release.
  • The eight-track album was recorded by Scott Evans at Seattle’s Studio Litho over three winter weekends and mixed shortly before release.
  • Neurosis says this is not a reunion, noting they parted with cofounder Scott Kelly in 2019 and later condemned his 2022 admission of abuse.
  • The group’s first show in seven years is scheduled for July 23–26 at Fire In The Mountains on Blackfeet Nation land in Montana, presented with Firekeeper Alliance to support Indigenous suicide-prevention.
