Overview
- Netflix announced on Thursday, July 16, that Netflix Minigolf will launch on July 28 and include more than 60 levels across Stranger Things, Squid Game and Bridgerton.
- The game was made by Next Games, the Finland studio Netflix acquired in 2022, and follows recent Netflix TV releases such as FIFA World Cup – Launch Edition and Unhinged.
- Play is built for couch co-op: up to four people compete on the same TV while using their phones as controllers that connect via a QR code.
- Gameplay centers on accessible, chaotic mechanics including a collectible “Pranks” system that lets players sabotage opponents so the lowest score does not always win.
- Netflix Minigolf will be free to Netflix subscribers on compatible TVs but will roll out only in a set list of countries at launch with more territories to be added over time.
