Netflix to Stream 'The Breakfast Club' Live Every Weekday

The deal converts the syndicated morning radio show into Netflix’s first daily live program to test whether subscriber-only live video can drive habitual daytime viewing.

Overview

  • iHeartMedia and Netflix announced Thursday that starting June 1, 2026 the Breakfast Club will stream live on Netflix weekdays at 6 a.m. Eastern with nearly three hours of programming.
  • Netflix will replace the radio’s commercial breaks in its feed with exclusive bonus segments, behind-the-scenes moments and extended discussions to create an uninterrupted viewing experience.
  • The show will keep its current hosts — Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious — and iHeartMedia will retain audio distribution and Premiere Networks will continue syndication to more than 100 radio stations and the iHeartRadio app.
  • Some long-time viewers have reacted negatively to the shift because full video episodes were removed from YouTube earlier this year and parts of the world saw limited Netflix availability.
  • The move builds on a December video-podcast partnership between the companies and signals Netflix’s larger strategy to expand live and podcast-format programming as a cost-efficient way to grow daily engagement.
