Netflix to Stream Spotify’s Video Podcasts, Including The Ringer, Starting in 2026

The rollout is designed to challenge YouTube by shifting full episodes to Netflix while keeping host-read ads intact.

Overview

  • A curated slate from Spotify Studios and The Ringer will debut in the U.S. in early 2026, with additional markets to follow.
  • Sixteen initial titles were named, including The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Rewatchables, Serial Killers and multiple Ringer NFL, NBA, F1 and fantasy football shows, with more expected over time.
  • Full episodes of the participating shows will be removed from YouTube once the rollout begins, though audio versions will remain widely available and video clips may continue on YouTube.
  • Episodes on Netflix will run with existing host-read ads unchanged, which will be heard by viewers on both ad-supported and ad-free plans.
  • Financial and licensing terms of the partnership, including deal length, were not disclosed by the companies.
