Netflix Reveals Trailer, Cast and Sept. 29 Release for Lego One Piece

Usopp frames a brickified retelling of the East Blue saga that uses the live-action cast to link the special to Netflix’s wider One Piece rollout.

Overview

  • Netflix debuted a full trailer, poster and first-look images for the two-part Lego One Piece special at Anime NYC this week, and confirmed the special will arrive on Netflix on September 29, 2026.
  • The special is directed by Chelsea Ker and reimagines the live-action series’ early East Blue arcs in CG Lego form with scenes that include Buggy, Arlong Park and Chopper’s Drum Island.
  • Members of the Netflix live-action cast — including Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar and Mikaela Hoover — will reprise their roles as voice actors for their Lego counterparts.
  • The story is explicitly framed as an embellished narration by Usopp, which positions the special as a stylized recap of Seasons 1–2 rather than a new chapter in the live-action continuity.
  • Netflix presented the Lego special as part of a coordinated One Piece slate that also includes WIT Studio’s anime remake set for February 2027 and a live-action Season 3 planned for 2027, signaling cross-format promotion to reach new and returning viewers.
