Netflix Raises U.S. Prices Across All Plans for the Second Time in a Year

Netflix says the higher fees will fund more programming.

Overview

  • Netflix updated its U.S. Plans and Pricing page Thursday, March 26, lifting monthly rates to $8.99 with ads, $19.99 for Standard, and $26.99 for Premium.
  • Existing members will see the higher rates over upcoming billing cycles and will get an email one month before the change takes effect.
  • Fees to add people outside a household now cost $7.99 a month on ad-supported plans and $9.99 on ad-free plans, with Standard allowing one extra member and Premium up to two.
  • The company says the increase supports a planned $20 billion content budget for 2026 and newer offerings like live events, video podcasts and games.
  • TD Cowen estimates the new pricing will lift average revenue per subscriber in the U.S. and Canada by about 6% in 2026.
