Overview
- Provincial monthly changes ranged from 1.3% to 3.9%, led by San Juan (3.9%) and trailed by Formosa (1.3%).
- Santa Cruz recorded the highest basket at ARS 890,350, followed by Chubut (ARS 876,576), Río Negro (ARS 863,809), Tierra del Fuego (ARS 860,986) and Neuquén (ARS 840,602), while the lowest were Formosa (ARS 783,302), Greater Buenos Aires (ARS 795,370) and CABA (ARS 796,000).
- Eight of 24 jurisdictions saw basket increases above the 2.8% national CPI for the period.
- Meat led the gains, with asado up 10%–15% and ground beef rising 4%–8% except roughly 16% in Río Negro, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego; egg prices were broadly stable with small declines in CABA and parts of Buenos Aires and a rise in Chubut.
- Compared with November, the largest absolute increases were in Misiones (ARS 46,037), San Juan (ARS 40,688) and Santa Cruz (ARS 39,218).
