NDA Convocation for 149th Course Graduates 328 Cadets

B.Tech trainees now move to service academies for a final year before receiving engineering degrees.

  • At Habibullah Hall in Khadakwasla, UPSC chairman Ajay Kumar presided over the NDA’s 149th Course convocation.
  • 216 cadets received JNU bachelor’s degrees—72 in science, 92 in computer science, 52 in arts—and 18 trainees from friendly foreign countries also received degrees.
  • 112 Navy and Air Force cadets in the B.Tech stream received three-year completion certificates and now proceed to INA Ezhimala or AFA Hyderabad for final training before degree conferment.
  • Academic honors went to Kartik Maheshwari (science), Ananya (computer science), Anurag Gupta (social science), and Vishwesh Bhalerao (B.Tech), each awarded the Commandant’s Silver Medal with the respective service trophy.
  • The passing-out course included 15 women from the academy’s second female cohort, with Battalion Cadet Captain Ananya leading the computer science stream.
