Navi Mumbai Tuition-Class Slab Collapse Kills Boy, Triggers Building Evacuation

  • Rescue teams from the Vashi, Airoli and Kopar Khairane fire stations freed 13 people, including 12 students and the teacher, and moved the injured to nearby hospitals.
  • One student died during treatment at the Vashi municipal hospital, several others are receiving care, and the teacher was discharged after minor injuries.

  • Officials said the legally built G+4 structure received an Occupation Certificate in 1998, noted that mandatory audits generally begin after 30 years, and confirmed the cause is under investigation.
