Navi Mumbai Tops Rs 434.02 Crore in Q1 Property Tax Collections

Overview

• Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation reported a record first-quarter property tax haul of Rs 434.02 crore for April–June 2026, a rise from Rs 372.42 crore in the same quarter last year.
• Taxpayer participation increased to 1,43,329 property owners, representing about 40% of the city's 3,55,772 registered properties who paid during the quarter.
• Digital channels dominated receipts with Rs 280.71 crore collected online from 1,03,473 taxpayers through UPI, QR, net banking and cards, and an additional large share received via bank transactions.
• NMMC’s personalised payment-link campaign delivered nearly Rs 58 crore from 57,397 taxpayers paying from home, while recovery drives reclaimed Rs 23.67 crore from 15,250 chronic defaulters.
• Revenue was led by industrial properties (35.79%), followed by residential (31.92%), commercial (22.26%) and mixed/other (10.03%), with Ghansoli division posting the highest divisional intake at about Rs 80 crore.
