Overview
- The commemoration will be held on February 28 and March 1 at Owe Ground in Kharghar, with a projected turnout of 15–20 lakh devotees.
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to attend in person and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address the gathering virtually, with several chief ministers and governors expected.
- Traffic police have imposed citywide bans on heavy and goods vehicles during event hours and issued detailed entry restrictions, diversions and no-parking zones across Kharghar from 12.01 am Feb 28 to midnight Mar 1.
- Additional curbs on NH48 will block heavy vehicles from 5 am to 9 pm on both days, with diversions via designated alternate routes to ease congestion for pilgrims and commuters.
- About 3,000 security personnel, 300+ CCTVs and a central control room will monitor a one–two kilometre restricted zone, while more than 1,000 toilets, 150+ special buses, 30–38 parking sites, accommodation for 25,000 and extensive medical capacity, including a temporary ICU and 350 reserved hospital beds, have been arranged.
