Nashik Police Arrest Three and Seize 320 Grams of Mephedrone From Gang Posing as Gas-Repair Workers

Officers from the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Upnagar police and the Anti-Goonda Squad arrested three men from Jodhpur living in the Nashik Road area after coordinated operations uncovered the drugs.
Police recovered a total of 320 grams of mephedrone in two actions: about 200 grams from an intercepted motorcycle and 120.35 grams during a raid on a flat in Sadguru Nagar.
Authorities estimate the seized MD’s illicit-market value at roughly Rs 16.7 lakh and have lodged cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and related provisions.
Investigators say the group used motorcycles for street sales and posed as gas-repair workers to move around the city and avoid detection.
Two other suspected members remain absconding and police are continuing searches, a development that could lead to further arrests and wider probes of local street-level networks.
