NASCAR Brings The Clash Back to Daytona and Names Wheatley Vodka Title Partner

Restoring the traditional Speedweeks opener, NASCAR plans new fan activations and commercial integration around the event.

Overview

  • NASCAR announced Tuesday that The Clash will return to Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 13, 2027 and will be titled the Wheatley Vodka Clash at Daytona.
  • Wheatley American Vodka signed a multi-year entitlement deal that makes it the Official Vodka of NASCAR and grants vodka-category rights with year-round marketing integration.
  • NASCAR and Wheatley said the partnership will include on-site activations and a custom promotional campaign at Speedweeks, with specifics of those activations to be released later.
  • Key operational elements remain unresolved: NASCAR has not yet announced the event’s eligibility rules or race format, and details of a planned program to support service members and veterans will be shared at a later date.
  • The Feb. 13 date places the exhibition the day before the Super Bowl and eight days before the Daytona 500, giving teams a preseason opportunity to test 2027 superspeedway setups and shaping early Speedweeks storylines.
