Nach wochenlanger Verzögerung bereitet die US-Raumfahrtbehörde Nasa für Anfang April den nächsten Startversuch für die Artemis-2-Mission Richtung Mond vor. Die Riesenrakete SLS werde derzeit aus dem Hanger zur Startrampe gebracht, teilte die Nasa mit.

  • The Space Launch System and Orion are now on the Cape Canaveral pad for final checks ahead of a launch window opening April 1 with opportunities through April 6.
  • The roughly 100-meter vehicle covered about six kilometers from the hangar to the pad on a mobile transporter in around eleven hours.
  • The mission is planned to last about ten days and will loop around the Moon without a landing.
  • Astronauts Christina Koch, Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman, and Canadian Jeremy Hansen are assigned to the flight.
  • NASA postponed earlier targets after test anomalies, including a helium-supply issue that prompted a return to the hangar for inspections.
