Naidu Seeks Singapore Investment to Accelerate Amaravati and Build Tech Supply Chains

The two-day outreach aims to secure capital, semiconductor expertise and Singapore planning support to speed land allocation and approvals for Andhra Pradesh projects.

Overview

  • Naidu began his Singapore engagements on Monday with a roundtable for startups and venture capitalists, a meeting with India’s High Commissioner and a bilateral discussion with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
  • He publicly pitched Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly measures such as the 'One Family One Entrepreneur' policy, a land-pooling model for project sites and the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub to attract VC funding and industry partners.
  • The chief minister is scheduled to participate on June 16 in the APAC Semiconductor Roundtable, address the World Cities Summit, review Amaravati plans with Surbana Jurong and join a CII Partnership Summit business roadshow.
  • Officials and business leaders from Google Cloud Asia-Pacific, GIC, YCH Group and Singapore universities are named targets for collaboration on semiconductors, AI, quantum research, urban planning and green energy.
  • If partnerships materialize, Andhra Pradesh officials say faster approvals and land allocations could speed new factories and tech campuses, boost job creation in manufacturing and services, and expand export opportunities for horticulture and food processing.
