- On Wednesday N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife N. Bhuvaneshwari attended the Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Jatara in Kuppam and formally offered silk robes to the deity, a gift reported as made on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
- The couple took part in special rituals and darshan at the temple and were presented tirtha prasadam by temple authorities, with large crowds around the shrine and tightened security for the visit.
- While returning the pair stopped at Tanjamma Kottalu village, tasted thati munjalu (ice apples) sold by toddy tappers, posed for photographs and praised the fruit on X as free of adulteration, carbide and pesticides.
- Officials who received or accompanied the chief minister included MLC K. Srikanth, APSRTC vice-chairman P. S. Muniratnam, temple chairman Ravichandra Babu, district collector Sumit Kumar, SP Tushar Dudi and TTD additional executive officer Venkaiah Chowdary.
- The Gangamma Jatara is a long‑standing regional folk festival that draws devotees from neighbouring Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and culminates in rites such as the Viswaroopa Darshanam—the ceremonial unveiling of the goddess’s head—and the Jalavasam immersion.
