Overview
- The E3 Seed Access Road was inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday, August 13, 2026, and is a 22 km, nine‑lane, 60‑metre‑wide corridor built in phases at an estimated cost of about Rs 1,519–1,520 crore.
- Two steel bridges opened with the road — reported at roughly 110 metres and 280–478 metres in different accounts — that give direct road links from Amaravati to Vijayawada and Mangalagiri and relieve congestion on the narrow Karakatta river road.
- The E3 corridor includes a dedicated Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) lane, cycle tracks, footpaths and integrated underground utilities for drainage, water, gas and power to be installed alongside the road.
- As part of the programme the government handed over residential quarters for legislators, reported as 216 units across nine towers at Nelapadu and additional completed flats in a 12‑tower Rayapudi complex.
- Officials framed the openings as the first major physical step in a larger master plan that includes 34 trunk roads, sanctioned inner and outer ring roads, and a phase‑three link to NH16 with a target for a fully developed Amaravati inauguration in 2028.
