Overview
- Cognizant’s Visakhapatnam project involves a Rs 1,583-crore, 22-acre campus at Kapuluppada IT Hills with plans for 8,000 jobs in three phases.
- IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a temporary Cognizant site at the Mahati Fintech Building in Rushikonda IT Park with capacity for about 1,000 staff.
- Operations at the temporary facility are slated to begin by early 2026 with initial staffing of around 800, with Phase I of the permanent campus targeted for early 2029.
- Foundation stones were also laid for offices of Tech Thammina, Satva Developers, Imaginnovate Tech Solutions India, Fluentgrid, Motherson Technologies, Qorp Technosoft, ACN Healthcare RCM Services, and Nanrel Technologies.
