Overview
- Emergency services attended an altercation on Hale Lane in Failsworth and found a man with stab wounds who was taken to hospital after the June 19 incident.
- The man died in hospital on July 4 and has been named by police as 40-year-old Steven Dossett.
- Detectives from GMP’s Major Incident Team have opened a murder investigation and the senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Anna Barker, called the attack shocking.
- Four men and one woman previously arrested on grievous bodily harm and assault charges have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
