Overview
- Western Railway, which will hold a jumbo block Sunday, will divert all Fast trains between Santacruz and Goregaon from 10 am to 3 pm to the Slow lines.
- Harbour Line services face broad cancellations, with UP trains from Panvel to CSMT halted from 10.33 am to 3.49 pm and DOWN trains from CSMT to Panvel or Belapur off from 9.45 am to 3.12 pm.
- On the Trans Harbour line, UP locals from Panvel to Thane will not run from 11.02 am to 3.53 pm and DOWN trains from Thane to Panvel will be suspended from 10.01 am to 3.20 pm.
- To ease the impact, Central Railway will run special CSMT–Vashi trains, keep Thane–Vashi or Nerul Trans Harbour services running, and it says Port line services will operate as usual.
- Separately, a new 12‑car non‑AC local with automatic doors, anti‑drag safety, wider windows, forced ventilation and vestibules has arrived at Kurla Car Shed and will undergo mandatory trials before carrying passengers.
