- Pankit Vijay Shah, 39, chief business officer at Samco Mutual Fund, fell at the Chhadda Premises in Andheri East on Tuesday morning and was declared dead on arrival at Cooper Hospital around 12:45 pm.
- Police say he went out of a staircase window between the third and fourth floors, with an SBI debit card later found on the exterior ledge.
- A broom recovered near the body and accounts from building staff suggest he was trying to retrieve the card, and CCTV reviewed by officers shows he was alone.
- An accidental death report has been registered at Andheri Police Station, with no evidence of foul play and a betting angle ruled out as the investigation continues.
- Shah had gone to visit a friend whose tours-and-travel office in the building was not yet open, and his family had filed a missing-person complaint the previous day.
