Overview
- The Abingdon store, which opens Wednesday at Fairacres Retail Park, will create 75 local jobs.
- The 18,000 sq ft foodhall features an in-store bakery, a hot chicken counter, a coffee counter, a broad fresh-produce range and a Click & Collect point.
- Once open, trading hours will be 8am–9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am–4pm Sunday.
- The location is one of 12 ex-Homebase units being converted as M&S targets about 420 food halls and 180 full-line stores by the end of the 2028 financial year.
- Fresh produce will include items from M&S Select Farm partners, with more than 60 suppliers based in Oxfordshire.
