MRF Signs Non-Binding MoU for Rs 5,300 Crore Tyre Plant at Sivaganga SIPCOT

Progress now hinges on a state incentive package, land allocation, plus statutory clearances.

  • MRF executed a preliminary MoU with Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency Guidance to facilitate a greenfield facility for automotive tyres and allied products at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Sivaganga.
  • The company outlined an estimated outlay of about Rs 5,300 crore to be invested over 12 years in phased implementation.
  • MRF said the project, when implemented, is expected to generate approximately 1,000 direct jobs.

  • MoU documents were exchanged at the state Secretariat in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, with MRF leaders K.M. Mammen and Arun Mammen and Guidance MD-CEO Darez Ahmed participating.
