MPC Entry Sets Up Five-Way Fight for Mizoram’s Dampa Bypoll on Nov. 11

- On the last day of filing, MPC vice-president K. Zahmingthanga submitted his nomination, joining ZPM’s Vanlalsailova, MNF’s R. Lalthangliana, Congress’s John Rotluangliana and BJP’s Lalhmangaiha.
- The seat, vacant since MNF MLA Lalrintluanga Sailo’s death on July 21, moves to scrutiny on October 22, withdrawals by October 24, polling on November 11 and counting on November 14.
