Motorola Unveils Moto G87 With 200MP Camera and Rugged, Brighter Display

The launch signals Motorola’s push to bring flagship-level imaging to its midrange line.

  • Motorola made the Moto G87 official as the latest entry in its G-series lineup.
  • The main camera is a 200MP sensor with optical image stabilization and 2x lossless zoom, joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP selfie camera.
  • The phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chip with up to 12GB of RAM and features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 120Hz with a 5,000-nit peak and Gorilla Glass 7i.
  • It carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and is MIL-STD-810H certified for 1.2-meter drops, and it packs a 5,200 mAh battery with 30W charging on Android 16.
  • Availability is set for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America in the coming weeks, pricing is not yet announced, and some markets will see the phone branded as Moto G Max.
