Motorland Aragón Secures One-Year Return to MotoGP After Hungary Drop

The Government of Aragón provided a last-minute financial guarantee of more than €10 million to lock Motorland into the 2027 calendar with no confirmed extension.

  • Motorland Aragón has been promoted from Dorna reserve status into the official 2027 MotoGP calendar after Balaton Park (Hungary) failed to secure its spot.
  • The Gobierno de Aragón agreed to pay a canon exceeding €10 million to Dorna/Liberty to guarantee Motorland’s single-season entry, a rise from prior fees around €8 million.
  • Organisers judged Balaton Park unsuitable for 2027 and Hungary’s proposed alternative, the Hungaroring, requires major renovations that cannot be finished in time.
