Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on Skokie’s Touhy Avenue

A regional crash team is leading an investigation into the collision, police say.

Overview

  • A passenger vehicle turning left into a business in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue was struck on its passenger side by a motorcycle that was traveling in the center lane, according to Skokie police.
  • The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead; the medical examiner identified him as Mohammed R. Ali of Chicago.
  • The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
  • The Skokie Police Department is handling the active investigation with help from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force and has asked anyone with information to call 847-982-5900.
