Overview
- The collision happened on the A19 north of Chapel Haddlesey at about 1.50pm on Friday and involved a black Honda motorcycle and a red Vauxhall Corsa.
- The 34-year-old motorcyclist from the Selby area was taken to hospital and was later pronounced deceased despite treatment by medical staff.
- An 18-year-old man driving the red Vauxhall Corsa is cooperating with North Yorkshire Police enquiries.
- Officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a red Seat Ibiza believed to have been travelling directly behind the Corsa and ask anyone with information to contact Mark Patterson or call 101 quoting reference 12260103591.
