Overview
- The Central Criminal Court in Dublin sentenced the mother and her brother to 15 years’ imprisonment, backdated to July 2025 for her and November 2024 for him.
- Jurors convicted the mother of two sexual assaults in 2001 when the child was about four and of facilitating the rape in March 2003, and convicted the uncle of the 2003 rape.
- The judge said the offending was of a particularly cruel and depraved nature and noted neither defendant accepted the verdicts or expressed remorse.
